Finished my carrier!
All my spare moments today and yesterday have gone to sewing my new carrier because I was eager to get it finished. I used this pattern for the Frankenkozy carrier, a cross between a Mei Tai and a wrap. I decided that the smaller body size would suit us best for now. L isn’t growing that fast and the body size is similar to the MT I hired and seems plenty big enough for now. I ended up cutting down the shoulder straps to 12 inches because to begin with they came down almost to my elbows! I also had to unpick and resew the waist straps because the first material I used was just too stretchy and L was dangling down by my knees and I couldn’t get it tight enough.
I’ve a better idea how I’d make a 2nd carrier now and I already have some lovely printed cotton I’d like to use in reds/golds.
