Homeopathy and home improvements

Didn’t get around to blogging it yesterday, but as well as finishing sewing my new carrier we also fitted in going to baby clinic and then to visit a homeopath. L had put on 14oz in 5 weeks, so Norfolk air must be agreeing with him ;-)

None of us have seen a homeopath before so that was a new experience. I took M because he has been really down for ages and moving has just added to it and he also seems pretty run down in himself physically. The homeopath was lovely and put M at his ease fairly quickly - he’d been really scared of going. She got him talking about how he’s feeling and asked him loads of questions. She is going to send us a remedy in the post and also some flower essences to help especially with his night time fears. I was surprised at how reasonable her fee was and that remedies etc are all included in the one price for children. We’re going back in 6 weeks for a review.

M obviously took it very seriously because this morning he said he wished we had the flower essences already to help him feel better. So I remembered I have some rescue remedy that I bought before L was born so I put him some in apple juice (does it even matter if you put it in juice, not water??) and he kept sipping that and said it was helping. If he feels it is then I’m all for it.

Today we’ve waited in for various workmen. M wrote several Easter cards and made some Easter Hama bead decorations. L is getting one of his top front teeth through and it’s making him bite-y, so I rescued my nipple from his bottom teeth a few times when he nodded off to sleep while feeding.

A finished work early and this afternoon the sun came out and it warmed up. A finished putting shelves up in M’s bedroom (solid concrete walls - took him ages) and I attacked the bush/tree thing outside our front window. A came out to help after a while and it’s all down to about 4′ now. L sat outside with me. M came out to help with the bush for a bit and the boys playing out next door started chatting to him so I encouraged him to go round to the back field after them and see if he could join them. Went to check on him a little while later and he was stuck in to a game of cricket. Afterwards they went back next door to play out in the garden, so hopefully he’s making playing out friends.

We’ve just had fish and chips for tea and now A is putting M to bed while I blog. L is pulling things out of cupboards at my feet, but nothing too serious.
